Lori Gill & Associates – Doubling Down on Digital Success
Hello, Digital Go-Getters!
Today, let’s celebrate the digital ascension of Lori Gill & Associates – one of the most successful PNW businesses in the property management sphere, and a client we were delighted to serve for the past 3 years.
As an industry leader, Lori Gill & Associates work hard for their clients and for each other. Their culture is collaborative and supportive so that everyone succeeds, which made them a great fit
We quickly realized that a long-term campaign with them was inevitable as soon as we had presented our plans for their website and future online presence.
Background
Lori Gill & Associates is a successful property management business that got famous in the Pacific Northwest. They keep a primary focus on property management & leasing residential properties throughout the greater Seattle area.
Imagine a firm that’s a powerhouse offline but only a fraction of their reputation spilled over into their digital presence. We knew we had to work hard but they were with us every step of the way to support our work in whatever way we needed. It didn’t take long for results to show.
When everyone knows what they need to do and they do their best work, success is inevitable! We were very happy to see our client’s rapid rise! Two rewards, two years in a row!
The Challenges
Lori Gill & Associates had a firm footing in their industry, but their digital presence in 2022? It was more of a faint footprint. Our challenge was clear – to create an online echo of their offline excellence. To start with:
The site was not optimized for the most relevant primary industry keywords
The Google Business Profile (GBP) was neglected and not competitive
The design of their website needed to reflect their niche, history, expertise and class.
The site was desperate for a conversion tracking setup and well defined success metrics.
Our Strategy
The client had strong partnerships and customer relationships which we had used to obtain testimonials and reviews!
They had a history of social media, paid Google and Meta ads, Podcasts, TV commercials. Unfortunately, the Domain Rating and site authority in general didn’t reflect that, as they haven’t focused on leveraging these opportunities for obtaining strong backlinks.
We fine-tuned their SEO strategy to reflect their real-world prowess. Tailoring industry-specific keywords, crafting engaging content, and enhancing user experience were our tools. We were set to transform their online presence into a digital mirror of their offline success.
The Results: Doubling Digital Impact
And the results were a symphony of success. Organic users surged by 87.79%, sessions soared by 130.32%. But here’s the crescendo – conversions skyrocketed from 47 to an astounding 480. Here is the most recent data as displayed in Google Search Console (15 months) and Google Analytics (3-month):
Ahrefs can display a longer (5-year) history of this data in this regard, but excluding user interactions and activities. In October 2022, the client was onboarded and major Search Engine Optimizations had started:
It was a digital transformation that didn’t just replicate their offline success; it amplified it. In the end, their website did rise significantly in authority – both in Referring Domains and the Domain Ratings, as seen from Ahrefs:
Conclusion: Charting New Digital Horizons
This journey with Lori Gill & Associates is a testament to the power of a well-crafted digital strategy combined with lots of patience and regular communication. The result was a shared vision brought to life in the best possible way which the client didn’t hesitate to share online:
Anyone can learn lessons from this success. It’s about making your digital presence as robust and dynamic as your real-world one. Are you ready to double down on your digital success?

Addressing the Most Frequent Review Objections
Q: But Idohave the most reviews overall! Why should I work to get 2 reviews a week when I have 300 more than my next closest competitor?
A:Because those 300 extra reviews likely happened over 5 years. Google doesn’t care. Google cares about which business is actively engagingnow.Think of it this way: In a town with two bakeries, would you trust the one that was popular in 2018 or the one that has fresh 4.8-star reviews from yesterday?
Q: How can I automation reviews without looking “spammy” or robotic?
A:The key is timing and personalization. An email sent 4 days later is spam. An email triggered 24 hours later by their POS interaction, referencing their specific visit, and saying, “We love seeing you!” feels like a personalized follow-up. Keep your request language human and humble: “We’re a local business that thrives on honest feedback…” rather than “GIVE US 5 STARS!”
Q: Will getting a 4.1-star review on my 90-day rolling average hurt me more than helpful old 5-star reviews?
A:This is nuanced. A single, recent 4.1 review won’t “tank” you, as your overall (though less-weighted) average is still high. However, if yourlast 10 reviewsin the 90-day window average to a 3.5, you will almost certainly drop in rankings, as Google sees you as a business that is currently underperforming, despite past success. This is why automation that triggers happy customers is critical.
Q: Is it true that Google filters “glowing” 5-star reviews as fake more than “authentic” average reviews?
A:No, that’s a myth. However, Google (and users)dolook at patterns. Fifty identical, one-word “GREAT!” reviews left in two days will get flagged. A steady stream of slightly detailed (e.g., mentioning a specific employee or dish), varied (e.g., some detailed 4-star, some simple 5-star) reviews left consistently over weeks is the goal. Authenticity (a mix of opinions)doesincrease user trust, which improves conversion rate, but Google won’t penalize a legitimate string of recent 5-star acclaim.
Q: If the 90-day window is so critical, what happens if I go on vacation and get 0 reviews for two weeks?
A:This will absolutely create a “dip” in your ranking signals. While you won’t drop from #1 to #20 overnight, your competitors who continued to receive consistent feedback during those two weeks will gain algorithmic ground. This is the ultimate argumentforautomation. Your automation triggers reviews while you sleep, making your presence constant.
Q: My customers are mostly older/not tech-savvy. How can I possibly automate this or get them to leave a digital review?
A:This is a real challenge, but not insurmountable. Automation can adapt. Instead of automated SMS, use simplified technology: A physical table tablet at checkout that asks for email/phone, or a single-click “feedback” kiosk that opens a form (though this must be used carefully so it’s not a “captive review”). The most effective way is to pair automation (like the email) with ahuman script:Have staff hand them an appointment card with a QR code and say: “We love serving you! If you get an email from us tomorrow asking for feedback, we would truly value your perspective.”
Conclusion
The old playbook of gathering as many reviews as possible is dead. In 2026, dominance on Google Maps belongs to the businesses that have integrated review generation into their operational DNA.
Success in local SEO now requires prioritizingReview Velocityover total quantity. It demands recognizing the overwhelming influence of the current90-Day Window.By naturally automating your review acquisition—from post-appointment emails to SMS triggers at point-of-sale—you are ensuring a sustainable, steady stream of feedback that proves to Google and customers alike that your business is vibrant, reliable, and relevanttoday.
