A refreshed website and brand for a healthcare educator

Alex Howson PhD is a qualitative researcher, medical writer, and podcaster working in the field of continuining healthcare education. She helps education providers create impactful learning content and demonstrate the value of education as a driver of change in health care outcomes.

The Problem

While Dr. Howson definitely knows her stuff when it comes to healthcare education and data collection, she found that she was having difficulty in managing her website, which was created using now-outdated software. In addition to the clunkiness of the platform, she was having trouble connecting with potential clients. Her branding was not resonating with them, and the language on her website was a little too academic to appeal to a segment of her audience.

The Solution and The Result

Dr. Howson wanted a website that she could easily manage, so we created her brand-new website using a more user-friendly, modern platform. We integrated Calendly, an easy-to-use scheduling software, in order to make booking a consultation a breeze. 

We wanted Dr. Howson’s new branding to position her as a thought leader who was both knowledgable and approachable. We kept things simple, with copywriting designed to communicate her skills and value in impactful, direct language. We included graphics in soft accent colors and multiple high-quality images of Dr. Howson smiling at the camera, helping to build a more personal connection with website visitors.

This new site not only gave Dr. Howson a place to market herself and her services, but also to show off her portfolio of work. We continue to support Alex Howson in her mission through providing ongoing website maintenance.
