Web design and event system for Bellevue-based congregation, East Shore Unitarian Church
East Shore is a liberal Unitarian Universalist church in Bellevue, WA. Their members are diverse in faith, ethnicity, sexuality, history, spirituality, and more, but aligned in their desire to make a difference for the good. They come together in their shared mission to Practice Love, Explore Spirituality, Build Community, and Promote Justice. Led by their mission, Principles, and Covenant, they work together to become the best people they can be.
The Problem
When ESUC approached us, their site was degrading rapidly. The parent organization for Unitarian Churches had several plugins that tied into Unitarian church websites, but they were not up to date and relied on outdated coding and themes. ESUC was ready to move to a modern, mobile-friendly site.
But it wasn’t as simple as just redesigning the site– for the past 10 years, ESUC had faithfully kept track of their podcasts and sermons, and they needed a detailed event system as well– they got in contact with us and started the process of redesigning the entire site, and importing all of their old content.
What made ESUC love their new website?
A responsive team that worked with them on their timeline. Due to the intricate nature of ESUC’s content, they worked hand-in-hand with us to build sitemaps that helped us move their content to the new site according to their specifications. We integrated a detailed event system, as well as a password protected member’s only section.
Working with ESUC was a rewarding process that we’ve been thrilled to be a part of. We are now working with them on website maintenance which means security, updates, backups, support, hosting, search engine optimization, and peace of mind.
