About the Client

Nestled in the center of Fall City, The Roadhouse Restaurant & Inn has long been a beloved gathering place where history, hospitality, and local charm come together. Originally established as the Riverside Tavern in 1920, the building has witnessed more than a century of community life, evolving from a rustic stopover for early travelers into a vibrant modern hub for locals and visitors alike.

Today, the Roadhouse is known for its warm, welcoming energy; elevated yet approachable comfort food; lively atmosphere; and cozy, character-rich accommodations. Whether someone stops in for a casual meal, a special celebration, or an overnight stay, they’re stepping into a living piece of Fall City’s story.

The Challenge

After several ownership changes through the years, Fall City Roadhouse & Inn’s website had fallen significantly out of date – visually, technically and functionally. When the current owners took over the property (in 2018), the digital assets came along with it, and the site remained untouched for years. As a result, it no longer reflected the Roadhouse’s current identity, offerings, or guest experience.

Key challenges included:

  • An outdated and cluttered website design that lacked the character, and hospitality the brand is known for
  • Confusing navigation and inconsistent user paths, making it difficult for visitors to find menus, room details, hours, events, or booking information
  • Old, inactive blog and events content that no longer supported their marketing efforts
  • Out-of-date contact details, hours, and service information
  • Mixed messaging and no cohesive storytelling, despite the property’s rich historical significance
  • No structured content system to support ongoing updates, press mentions, event announcements, or future growth
  • A lack of modern visuals and digital presence, which was misaligned with the brand’s current direction and hospitality standards

With a new chapter of ownership, Fall City Roadhouse needed a fresh, modern, and user-friendly website that honored their heritage while creating a clear, engaging, and conversion-driven experience for diners, travelers, and locals.

The Solution

Mockup Roadhouse

Fingerprint Marketing partnered with Fall City Roadhouse & Inn to completely rethink and rebuild their digital presence from the ground up, honoring the legacy of the beloved landmark while positioning it for the future.

A refined, modern design rooted in history
We created a warm and timeless visual direction that reflects the Roadhouse’s hospitality, comfort, and heritage. The new look strikes a balance between classic and current, approachable, homey, and unpretentious, yet polished enough to appeal to travelers exploring the region.

A full content overhaul using storytelling structure
The new content strategy emphasizes narrative-driven sections: the property’s historical significance, its role in the Fall City community, and the welcoming experience guests can expect today. This approach strengthens emotional connection and supports both locals and tourists planning a visit.

Clear, intuitive navigation and user journeys
We restructured the site to guide users directly to what they need:

  • Restaurant menus
  • Room details and booking information
  • Contact and location details
  • FAQs for travelers
  • Press and community features

This transformation dramatically improves usability and eliminates the previous confusion.

Rebuilt blog, press, and events templates
To future-proof their content strategy, we created:

  • A blog system for stories, features, and seasonal updates
  • Press templates for media recognition
  • Event templates to showcase ongoing happenings in the future

These modular systems allow the team to publish consistent, on-brand content with ease.

A dedicated historical timeline feature
Honoring the Roadhouse’s century-long legacy, we developed a timeline that highlights key historical milestones. This feature not only enriches storytelling but also provides valuable backlinks to regional attractions, historical organizations, and local tourism resources, strengthening SEO and reinforcing their position as a community destination.
