About Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Sigma Alpha Epsilon is an established fraternity at the University of Washington (UW) that stands firmly behind the meaning of brotherhood. Their doctrine, “The True Gentleman”, defines the frat’s intention to maintain personal integrity and proper conduct. With a large emphasis on honesty, ambition, scholarship, and accountability, SAE rises above the other houses at UW and continues to set the standard for strong virtues among men.
The “WOW” factor was missing that would differentiate their house from the rest of the game in their online presence. While alumni and current members are well-rehearsed in the culture of SAE, the original website did not fully encompass the fraternity’s philosophy and therefore, was not reaching potential members. This was a definite setback when in the greek system, other houses are competing for recruits alongside SAE every year. Another concern was that their original site was not inclusive. Although the primary function was to acquire newcomers, it was also within the current members’ desire to reign in alumni.
Fingerprint Marketing in the early stages wanted to fashion a website that would impress parents, alumni, and future members with its finesse and aesthetic. Fingerprint Marketing took it a step further and built a custom feature that works three-fold. It allows for room reservations to be submitted and managed with ease a la Ticketmaster. The feature functions as a Big Brother-Little Brother matching system that ties in with the school’s database. Moreover, it provides the robust member directory for current and alumni students.
SAE’s website is a mirrored reflection of who they are and what they stand for, a brotherhood striving to build and promote “True Gentlemen”. Strong messaging combined with a heightened level of sophistication marks the fraternity’s authenticity and class. Overall, the interactive site opens the door to incredible opportunities for initiates and serves as a powerful meeting ground for all.
