Web design for Alaska-based Hotel, Grand Aleutian

Reminiscent of a European chalet, The Grand Aleutian Hotel offers rugged beauty and delightful comfort, all within easy reach. Located 800 miles southwest of Anchorage in the Aleutian Islands, relax and enjoy your stay while revitalizing your senses, surrounded by crystal waters and pristine mountains. With 103 guest rooms and suites offering spectacular views of Margaret Bay, Ballyhoo Mountain and Unalaska Bay, The Grand Aleutian boasts the latest in room amenities, as well as a culinary portfolio of restaurants, banqueting options, and a sister property with 25 rooms for the economically conscious traveler.

When the team at Grand Aleutian contacted us, they wished to have an elegant website that would showcase the idyllic and scenic Aleutian Islands and its offering. Boasting the lion’s share of the hospitality market in the Islands, they were more concerned about creating a beautiful showcase for travelers, rather than opting for a traditional booking-driven site.

The Problem

Grand Aleutian’s old website was outdated in its functionality, aesthetic, and layout and not representative of the charm of both the hotel and the area. To bring the brand back in line with modern website standards and to showcase their establishment, as well as the surrounding natural beauty of the Aleutian Islands, a facelift was needed.

What made Grand Aleutian love their new website?

Having a creative team that understood their vision and the industry was crucial for Grand Aleutian’s management. Working with Grand Aleutian was a creatively rewarding process – creating an awe-inspiring, experience-driven showcase is something we aspire to do with every hospitality project, and we hope to work with them again in the future.

We are now working with The Aleutian Hotel on website maintenance which means security, updates, backups, support, hosting, search engine optimization, and peace of mind.
